Network Solutions Instructions


If the domain name you wish to use is currently with Network Solutions, then you have two options:
 

If you prefer to continue to manage the domain name using Network Solutions and still use our services, then go to Network Solutions and update its nameservers.
If you prefer to manage it all in SiteControl alongside the other services you're already using, then transfer the domain name registration from Network Solutions to us.

 

 

Keep The Domain Name Registration At Network Solutions:

Log in to Network Solutions's control panel at networksolutions.com.

Click Manage Account and enter your Network Solutions User ID and password.

On the left-side menu, click nsWebAddress.

Click Manage Domain Names.

Locate the appropriate domain name (if you have more than one) and look for the "Change domain to point to" section.

Click the radio button next to Designated DNS and click Apply Changes.

Click Move DNS.

Replace the existing Name Server 1 and Name Server 2 with our two nameservers.

Click Move DNS.

Click Save Changes.

Please allow 4-8 hours for the update to take effect.

Transfer The Domain Name Registration From Network Solutions To Us:

Please note that a domain name registration must be at least six months old before you can transfer it from one provider to another.

Log in to Network Solutions's control panel at networksolutions.com.

Click Manage Account and enter your Network Solutions User ID and password.

On the left-side menu, click nsWebAddress.

Click Manage Domain Names.

Locate the appropriate domain name (if you have more than one) and look for the "Domain Protect" section.

Click Turn Off or Request Authorization Code.

Click the radio button next to Leave Domain Protect off.

Check the box next to Request Authorization Code.

Click Save.

Please wait 12-24 hours, and then you can initiate the transfer on our side.

 

If you did not receive the authorization code, then verify the accuracy of the Administrative Contact e-mail address.  To view/edit your contact address, return to the Manage Account page in Network Solutions and click Update Contact Information under the Quick Links section, click Edit User Profile, update your e-mail address and click Save.

Please allow approximately 5-8 days for the full transfer process to complete.
